MyClassmate Pakistan – Terms and Conditions

Welcome to MyClassmate Pakistan Pvt. Ltd. (“MyClassmate,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By accessing or using our website https://myclassmate.pk, mobile applications, or any of our services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering, accessing, or using any part of the MyClassmate Platform, you:

  • Confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy;
  • Represent that you are at least 18 years old (or are using the Platform under the supervision and consent of a parent or guardian if under 18);
  • Agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in Pakistan.
  1. About MyClassmate Pakistan

MyClassmate Pakistan Pvt. Ltd. provides digital learning platforms and educational technology services for students, parents, and teachers through its website, apps, and Partner Platforms.
Some of our services are provided directly to users, while others are offered in collaboration with educational institutions (“Partners”).

  1. Account Registration and Responsibilities

To use certain features, you may need to create an account. When doing so:

  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or breach of security related to your account.
  • MyClassmate reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that provides false information or violates these Terms.
  1. Use of Platform and Services

Users agree to use the Platform for lawful educational purposes only.
You must not:

  • Upload or share content that is defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, or unlawful;
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or misuse the Platform;
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • Use our content or software for commercial or resale purposes without written permission.

Violation of this section may result in termination of your account and possible legal action under applicable Pakistani laws including PECA 2016.

  1. Intellectual Property Rights

All materials, designs, graphics, software, course content, trademarks, and logos on the MyClassmate Platform are owned by or licensed to MyClassmate Pakistan.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for educational purposes only.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without prior written consent.

  1. Partner Platforms and Third Parties

MyClassmate operates in collaboration with schools, institutions, and other Partners.

  • Data and content shared through a Partner Platform may be governed by the Partner’s own policies.
  • MyClassmate is not responsible for the data management or privacy practices of Partner Platforms or third-party websites linked from our Platform.
    Please review the privacy and terms of those respective sites before engaging with them.
  1. User Content and Conduct

By submitting content (such as assignments, comments, or uploaded materials), you:

  • Grant MyClassmate a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, and process your content for educational purposes;
  • Represent that you own or have the right to share such content;
  • Agree that MyClassmate may moderate, remove, or restrict content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate.
  1. Data Protection and Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, store, and protect your data.
By using our services, you consent to our data handling practices described there.
For users under 20 years old, parental or guardian consent is required before using the Platform.

  1. Payment and Subscriptions (if applicable)

If any paid features or subscriptions are offered:

  • All fees will be displayed clearly before purchase.
  • Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
  • MyClassmate reserves the right to modify pricing or features with prior notice.
  1. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • MyClassmate Pakistan shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Platform.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or virus-free operation of the Platform.
  • Educational content is provided “as is,” and users are responsible for how they apply the material.
  1. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform without prior notice if:

  • You breach these Terms;
  • You misuse the Platform or engage in prohibited activities;
  • We are required to do so by law or regulatory authorities.

Upon termination, your access to the Platform and any stored data may be restricted or permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  1. Account Deletion and Deactivation

Users may deactivate or delete their account at any time by:

  • Contacting their school administration, or
  • Submitting a request via Account Deletion

Upon confirmation, all related personal data will be deleted or anonymized as described in our Privacy Policy.

  1. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform and its services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
MyClassmate disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Fitness for a particular purpose,
  • Merchantability,
  • Accuracy or completeness of educational content.
  1. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyClassmate Pakistan, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Platform;
  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Any content you upload, share, or distribute through the Platform.
  1. Changes to Terms

MyClassmate reserves the right to update or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Any changes will be posted on this page with the “Last Updated” date revised accordingly.
Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the new Terms.

  1. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan.
Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Islamabad, Pakistan.
